Our little bundle of joy is nearly six months old! My oh my how she has changed in such a short time. People are right when they say, "They grow up so fast!" She's not a helpless little baby anymore. While she still needs us for pretty much everything, she is so determined to try everything by her self. She is the wiggliest wiggle worm I have ever seen. Man, am I going to be in big trouble once she really starts moving. She is going to get into everything! She can't quite crawl, but she can roll around the room like nobody's business.
We started her on cereal last week despite the doctor's recommendation. Mom's intuition, I knew she was ready. She thinks her oatmeal cereal is the tastiest stuff she has ever had. Truth be told, it probably is! She opens her mouth when she is ready for the next bite, clearly telling us she knows what it is and that she really likes it. My heart still longs to be at home with her every day, but for now, working is a must. I can truly sympathize with other mommas who have to work. The general consensus on mom blogs and other social sites is that there are many many working moms seeking work at home positions. It just seems like there are so many scams out there. No one wants to give up their guaranteed paycheck for a job that will be hit or miss. Many have tried to get me to come over to direct sales, but I don't think I am ready to take that risk. It is a business that takes a while to start up and then there is no guarantee you will be a success.
Lastly, I got the mom bob. I went for it. Chopped my long hair off into a short, cute bob. I am still getting used to it as I look completely different. When I got home from getting my hair cut, Kaylin barely knew who I was. After 10 minutes she decided I was in fact her mommy. One things for sure, no more fists of hair are going to come out in that baby's hand!
