We Part Time Cloth Diaper and I'm Proud Of It!

When I was pregnant, I stumbled onto a forum about cloth diapers. I had no idea what I was getting into when I first began researching this topic unknown to me. It is a whole crazy world that I was about to dive head first into. Searching for cloth diapers quickly took over all of my free time on the Internet. It was my new guilty pleasure to find the best deals on diaperswappers. Not only would we save money, but I got to buy the cutest diapers you've ever seen!! I was in love. I started my stash with prefolds and covers. This is a cheap diapering system and very popular for newborns. I quickly discovered that this type of system was just not for us. I was able to swap these diapers for pocket diapers and AIO's and the rest was history. Diaperswappers is an incredibly valuable tool for moms. You can buy, sell and trade anything from diapers to maternity clothes. In my stash I have about 24 diapers. I wash my CD's every other day. I would like to add about 10 more diapers to my stash. I am already in the process of working on trades to move out the diapers that we do not use. I am still putting Kaylin in sposies at night and when we go on trips. I think we could go full time, but right now, sposies just seem like a safety net for me. I will say, I have never had a blow out in a cloth dipe. We have had about 3 in sposies. You do the math. I would recommend cloth diapers to anyone! Yes, you will make an initial investment and yes, you will end up doing more laundry. In my opinion, they are totally worth it. Don't buy just one kind of cloth diaper. Purchasing several different types of diapers will help you figure out what works for you and what doesn't. This is another great thing about diaperswappers. If you don't like one kind of your cloth diapers, you will most likely be able to find a mom who does and will trade with you for a different type of diaper. Everyone who sees our cloth diapers is shocked. They definitely aren't your grandmomma's cloth diapers!
